I think the clutch for the STI is pretty good, i drive it to the 1/4 and autoX track. the clutch is good to get the power to the ground, but i can smell the clutch( i think this is my problem). but overall is pretty good.

wewu- when you step on the throttle and the srps go up, but all the sudden shoots higher like u have the clutch in, but the car doesnt accelerate? if it does than your clutch is slipping

yeah, i get the burnt smell all the time when trying to creep uphill into a parking space or trying to get it unstuck from the snow...generally in situations that it never happened to me in my integra. i think the clutch is not really weak as far as subaru clutches go, but as far as imports....yeah maybe they have some things to learn. i just assumed that smell once in a while was 'normal'.

well, if u try to launch, or you do launch, the only way to launching is slipping the clutch which will make the clutch wear out quickly.

No matter how many times you cross post, you're still burning your clutch.
