just get a front mount, you will be glad. If you lose any spool, it will not be much. SS Autochrome FMIC for the win!! Check this out:

those FMIC seem to be pretty good for the money and I like it painted black. I might go that route. It will be next January before I actually need to decide.

3rdeye, those are some good numbers. i want to make similar when i get a turbo upgrade for my car. +1 for GST, a great shop with a great tuner.

the 2.5 WRXs make alot of torque with a turboback and tune. My 07 wagon made close the that torque (271) on the GST dyno when i got tuned. However, i made about 60 less hp. The stock TD04 is way too small for the 2.5.

I know... But that wasn't really my point, and it still doesn't answer my question to 06STi. I just don't like it when people throw out their numbers in an attempt for comparison when they don't provide complete information.

The 18g on a 2.5L has quite a bit of giddy up. I had one, it was fun. Nice numbers. Careful of your tranny, stat approaching the 300 mark and the become much more fragile.

I was super nice to mine. One trip into an open lot next to Ray's house combined with 300ft/lbs and a missed shift, it's all over.

Did you get a better price on parts or labor since it blew on their dyno? I know they dont have to, but that would be cool. Why opt for Ra gears? price? I wish I would have gotten ppg's. Ra's are still known to blow. People say that Ra;s are only a lil stronger than 04+ gears. And you blew yours with what? less than 20k miles. Good luck. And let us know if you have problems with the Ra gears, cuz then I will probably not upgrade to 18g.

that sounds pretty messed up. there are about 5 different guys on Nasioc with 300hp and torque with the stock tranny and clutch with no problems. Maybe you just a bad one. I hope you can get it all fixed.

yes i think they gave me a good price, $2300 with labor with everything, gears syncros, bearing and everything and its all built and ready to install. hopefully this will do me good. i only have stage 2 on it with less than 15000 miles! ill keep you updated.
