05 STI finally going STG 2, what version AP to use?

Hey guys,

So after wrestling with the idea for almost half a year now I finally have decided to STG 2 my 05 STI.

I'm running a ARC Icebox with a Zerosports intake pipe, Tanabe Medalion Touring catback, and a invidia downpipe. The downpipe might change to a maddad shorty dp with a divorced wastegate and a trackpipe.

I was wondering which version AP to run? Just wanted some personal experiance opinions. I was also wondering if there was that big of a difference between the two? Since V1 is almost half the price of V2. Not that I'm trying to take short cuts, just saving money. So how have your experiances been with both and what would you suggest?

Thanks

Will

the stg 2 map is no different with the ap2 than with the ap1.. the ap2 just has all the bells and whistles..so $$ wise, i would just get an ap1.. if you want cool features at a cost get the ap2

Why will it run lean? Does the icebox add that much air? Do you suggest a different intake?

If you're going to get an intake get it tuned by a pro. Don't trust out of the box tune.
