'05 to '06 STi Hood scoop swap

Just as the title says: Does anyone know if the '05 scoop will fit the '06 with no problems? TIA

I was wondering the same thing, I think the v8 scoop would look better on the 2006.

It may look more aggresive to use the old scoop but wasn't the new scoop designed for the specific aerodynamics of the new bodywork?

That's why they were able to make it smaller but it still pulls in as much air as the old huge one.

Go with a FMIC and put whatever scoop you want on there!

I made the visual comparison between the both model years and it appears they aren't interchangable. Also, a salesman told me that the new hood scoop is wider, thus allowing equal volume of air flow as the previous one without requiring the same height -- which is too bad because I like the height over the width. Perhaps tunners will offer one with more height in the future.
