is it worth it to port and polished a vf39 b4 install

I will be installing a VF39 in my 05 wrx soon, the turbo is like new. I was wondering if I should have it port and polished or anything else b4 I install it. Will the gains be worth the money, or is it just a waist.

I am just talking about the turbo, I have all supporting mod and will be getting a tune right after the install.

I would say yes because you get the most of your turbo. Faster spool because of the bigger port/flow. At the same time it depends on your goals....is this where you want to end your power mods? Or are you gonna continue upgrading? In my opinion if your at the end of power mods, then yes do it and have it powercoated to resist heat more. I recommend Crucial Racing for doing the whole thing, (Porting/coating) Really good job.

Then the answer is YES do it! Might want to think about an external wastegate setup too. That will also come in useful to holding boost longer and more accurately.
