will this ecu work with this motor and a 1.8 wiring harness

 

Why dont you source a 94-97 WRX ECU? its much easier.
If you car is 93-97 EJ18 Impreza, the JDM 94-97 WRX ECU should plug right into EJ18 harness with no mods. All you need to do is add few wires.
Also, you can run the motor with EJ18 ECU. It wont drive well or boost but at least engine starts up and you can move the car.

If you go with 02 WRX ECU, you need to work on the harness to make it work and much much much harder.

My car is 94 with EJ18, I swapped it with 99 JDM EJ20 and running on Apex ECU.
I can certainly tell that the wiring was a biggest pain in the ***.
Yours should be easier because the year of motor and the car matches. Its a big difference.
