Where to mount turbo timer in an '05 WRX?

I was curious if anyone knows a good spot to cleanly mount a turbo timer in an '05 WRX.

I really liked how people did it on the '02-'03 WRXs. They would mount it to the left of the cupholder. It looked like a nice fit and very clean. But since the cupholders are no longer in the same place, it doesn't look like it can be mounted there.

So please let me know where you guys have mounted yours, could you post pics as well if you have them.

There was this one guy who stuck it in the ash tray. Pretty sweet write up. I'll see if I could find it. I think he was from Hawaii.

Here's an awesome option for any year WRX/STi. They have different models for 02-04 & 05.

I just bought one to mount my MP3 player to in my STi. I found it on ebay for about $10 less than panavise sells them for.

i thought turbo-timers were better suited in later turbo models, and that having one in an 04/05 was overkill?

I took out my ashtray and put it in place of it. Looks real clean and its out of the way. It also clears up some room to put things in front of it ie. sunglasses or a cell phone

I picket up my DTT for $50 and the harness for $25 and I mostly just wanted a boost gauge which it does fine. The panavise bracket works great but I have a toy on it, the ashtray is another good idea but I have something there too.

Yeah I'm a nerd. Pardon the direct flash pics I was too lazy to break out the speedlight, I resized them also as I didn't think the 3072 x 2048 showed anything different :P

It's an ipaq 2215 on a panavise cradle running tomtom navigator 2004 with bluetooth gps receiver where the clock is(it's battery powered and has about 12 hours on one charge so it's fine). A delphi Roady2 XM receiver coming into the aux input on my deck velcro'd to the ashtray.

The best part is the ipaq cradle slides right off, and the wires for the XM tuck into the ashtray so I get this
