Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

What Should I Do (about CEL fix)?

From what Ive read here you dont want to install egt sensor into upipe because It may break off and kill your turbo. I dont know for sure but I would think the resistor trick could be done without haveing to cut the wires (not sure though).

You can use the resistor to get rid of the uppipe CEL.

Do you have to cut wires to do the resistor (I would think not)?

You can search for the mechanical fix for the dp on here. It works really well and you don't have to cut anything or mess with resistors. I have heard that for the uppipe you need to use some kind of grease in the plug with the resistor, someheatshrink, or tape and a wire tie. If you do searches here or on nasioc you will find may fixes. Good luck.
