Does anyone know what this hose is?.. And what happens if this hose is cut ?.. Somthing about bleeding out?... i'm not sure.. can someone explain this and the effects ... good or bad?.. etc.. thanks

 

also I was wondering what is the point of cutting it?... does it help in anyway?

That hose returns the "bleed" air from the boost solenoid into the intake system. Since this "bleed" air is already accounted for by the MAF when it enters the system, cutting it or unpluging it will have an effect on AFR (not sure how much). The only reason I can think of to open this line to atmosphere (I'm assuming that you would plug the intake nipple such that you did'nt allow unfiltered air in) would be to richen AFR a little (I see you have a intake, which might lean your AFR, depends on brand of intake) but I would think that this would be highly erratic. I would'nt do it, if you need to richen the AFR get a unichip, utec, etc and do it right. Also, thourghly understand any mod you make that will affect AFR, and why you are doing it, otherwise you may damage your motor.
