When upgrading a turbo the ost important perfomrance thing to do is upgrade your fuel system, other wise you will run lean. Probebly a good idea to go with soem kind of independant fuel management system. Allso piggy back, utecs, etc. are also good, because they tune the ecu.
More importantly, you must realize this will significantly lower your engine life. This is true for any car, becasue you are putting more strain on the engine. Most likely this result in you cracking a ring. If you want it to last, I suggest you upgrade your pistons. These engien are strong, but you can't just expect to bolt on a larger turbo and expect it to be fine. Another must is a boost controller, digital is best. Of course you'llw ant to add an exhaust, just to free up the increase in flow. But I can't stress this enough, you must remember by putting on a larger turbo, you are dramaticalay decreasing your car's reliability. Take lots of time and research into it, keeping in mind your goals between performance and drivability. And when you do decide, take it to a reputable place who will stand by their work. Check out EasyStreetMotorsports, they have some pretty good packages.

To get the most out of a larger turbo, many upgrades will need to be made. Start with the fuel system. Get a larger pump such as a walbro 255 lph, and some larger injectors, like the STI ones, or maybe even bigger ones. Then go to the exhaust side of things. A new up-pipe is crucial, because the cat right before the turbo drastically reduces spool, then get a turboback exhaust to free up pressure. A cold air intake is also recommended to supply more air. More importantly is a new intercooler, front mounts are larger and more efficient due to placement. Finally, engine management is possibly the most important component. I recommend the turboXS UTEC, it controls air, fuel, boost, and everything you need. New gauges to regulate your engine are a must. Also, with such an increase in power, larger brakes are in store, and new ties are recommended. Now that you are upgrading your whole car, you might as well throw in some rims an a bodykit.
this site has plenty of vendor lists and product reviews. read up on what has and has'nt worked.
