Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Most people go for the Blitz SBC-iD, but I'd recommend the Blitz DSBC Spec-R. Its much cheaper, still has the excellent dual solenoid, and has only minor differences in functionality. The main difference is that the Spec-R is a 1/4 DIN device instead of the fancy 1/2 DIN read out of the SBC-iD and the iD permits a gain setting for each boost setting, the Spec-R only one gain for all boost settings. Over time, I've found that other functionality isn't really cruicial for street tuning.

My 0.02,

i have the profec e-01, after owning it and a blitz, i would say the blitz is better. much smoother and a bit cheaper too.

From what I've heard, the evc-iv has many of the same problems w/ the wrx ecu as the profec lines does... fuzzy logic fighting with your computer. Just what I've heard though, I have no evidence of my own. Do some searching on it.
