Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

What is better (which Stage package for stock WRX)?

What is better?

What stagepackage should i get for my stock wrx. Shouldi get the Cobb Stage 1 or 2 reflash. What is the difference between the AccessECu or the Stage 1? Or what about a Vishnu reflash? What do u guys think?

well, if your stock, you should go with cobb stage 1. not stage 2 since you dont have a TBE. i say wait til you get a TBE and then get stage 2.

I prefer UTEC for the flexibility for future upgrades and the ability to use any aftermarket parts you want.

Doesn't the UTEC take pretty good knowledge of fuel maps and such to be able to tune? It's not like Joe Blow down the street can just tune the UTEC, is it?

You can get preset maps, and if you want to tune it you can. It is alittle difficult but you can get alot of help from the guys at wrxhackers.com. I've been running preset maps and have had no problems and it makes a big difference

WYes you need a downpipe with the stage 2. TBE or Turbo Back Exhaust means the downpipe & the catback.

1. That's the Hp that peaks at 5500 rpm, the Torque peaks at 3000 rpm and is pretty well maintained through 6000 rpm. You will notice improved turbo spool-up.

2. The stage 2 map is programmed for a Turbo Back Exhaust.

Cobb says more maps will be available when the AccesPort is released on Feb. 27th.
