Question to those that have upgraded the exhaust...

How do you know which one to get? Meaning... where I live I am the only one that I KNOW of that has a rex, so what ever I get for it, is NEW to me... I can't compare it to someone else that has a rex that has a different exhaust and say... "I like how yours sounds, looks, etc" How do you go about hearing what they sound like, what they look like?

I would be afraid and when I get to that point be very hesitant on which one I get for the fact that I can't see it first I don't want to drop $1000 for an exhaust, then be like... it's not loud enough, or this is TOO loud! Or that looks awful on the car!

Know what I mean...?

Yup, i know what you mean. Go to your local section and post there. Maybe someone nearby has an exhaust. Also, here is a website that has exhaust clips.

http://www.mattrandolph.com/wrx.htm

You can also find exhaust clips on other websites by doing searches on yahoo, or something similar.

Downshift already starting mods huh? HKS is fairly quiet wiht the silencer but there is a noticable power loss. I'm sure its not too bad though. Good luck to everyone!

I like my Apexi GT-Spec exhaust, it's pretty damn loud and throttle is more responsive, but for driving on the street I just pop in the silencer and it's way quieter but the power loss isn't too significant. I recommend it.

I'm also looking for a muffler not too loud.

What about prodrive? Who has a prodrive in the L.A. area that I could listen to.

Try posting on NASOIC, or in the section for California, or both would be better

ive got the APS turbo-back. It's its nice and deep. It sound awsome, but its not loud at all. Meaning the cops wont hear you from 2 miles away. It realy quiets down when you get off the gas, and you doesn't get drow3d on the freeway. two thunbs up!
