Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

What is the baddest turbo for an EJ20 engine out ther?

you need to be more specific, are you looking for max power, quickest spool time, etc. What are you going to be using it for, 1/4 mile? Track racing? Daily driver? In the words of my favorite robot, "Need input, more input!"

Ok fellas my car is gonna be a daily driver that I wanna use at the drag strip and be able to run mid to low 12's with. I thought the TD06 20G greddy kit was only for STi's cause they used the 2.5 block. I don't wanna switch out my block. I wanna the 2.0 block. Thanks for the input so far fellas

who said the TD06/20G is only for the 2.5L block? there are plenty of people using the TD06/20G on the 2.0L, and GReddy is not the only company that produces that turbo. other popular companies include Deadbolt and Forced Performance (FP).

also, are you looking for bolt-on, or do you want to make your own, custom kit? if you want bolt-on, the GT-RS (disco potato) is out since no one has released it in bolt-on form. the T-78 is a huge turbo run on Supras, so i think its a little too big for a 2.0L WRX without forged internals it also doesn't bolt right up.

based on your post, you need to do a lot more research on the turbos used on the WRX as well as the requirements necessary to run said turbos.

I'm not a big fan of NOS, but if you want a 12-second car that is ALSO a daily driver, that is actually the best solution. I've driven a 500HP STI, and let me tell you, it is a Camaro killer at the track, but it is a pain in the @$$ to drive around town. Below 2600 RPM it chugged like a diesel, and then suddenly that turbo (APS) would spool up and kick you right in the small of the back; it was really tough to avoid rear-ending people coming away from a stoplight, and the highway acceleration lane was a nightmare. Any car with that much horsepower is like a bull in a china shop in traffic.

I'm sure others have told you this, but any WRX is a crappy choice for a drag car. It is way too heavy to get to 12 seconds without seriously upgrading every part of the car, from engine internals to suspension to transmission. Just put a V34 and a wet shot of NOS in it and be done.

Oh, and then be prepared to kiss it goodbye in less than a year. :-)

What is that? One of my buddies had a T100 in his MkIV TT and I though that sucker was HUGE, but that looks pretty damn big. He's running a pair of GT3037s now though..
