Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

The wet stuff

Fuel that is. Sorry about the title, but I had to get some attention. I have been reading on fuel injectors and rail. The injectors are my big concern @ the moment. Whats the hp rating on the sti pinks, vs the modded stockers. I see that the modded injectors flow more, but this doesnt tell me anything. I made good hp #s in my honda with 440cc injectors. How is the spray pattern on the modded injectors, this really interests me because its cheap and seems to be effective. Also, with a vishnu remap is there going to be any trouble with tuning these. Just a few newbie questions. If anyone with experience cares to oblige. Thanks in advance.

i've seen some pics of the spray patterns of modded injectors posted somewhere on nasioc. The spraypattern are like perfect cones.
Just be sure that you are using some engine managment to scale them properly.
Plenty of guys are using the utec, ive seen some folks tune them with a/f controllers like the hks-safr and apex-safc, .. not familiar with the accessport if anyone has experience with tuning modded injectors with it.

That they flow more may mean that they are just pouring (literally dripping) fuel into your combustion chamber, I have seen crap jobs to where they are paying you to put on some STi pinks or some other performing fuel injectors that safely run 800cc ect. It would also be easier to get tuned with STi pinks because almost every tuner has experience with them and may even be able to give you an off the shelf map for it. I do not suggest using accessport as a form of tuning unless you have custom maps loaded into it, I have seen instances where HP and TQ actually go down from using it.

good point about flow. No sense in upgrading your injectors because there are replacecments that flow more. Justify the need by checking your IDC duty on the versus the amount of air you are planning to push though. FYI most VF series turbos dont need bigger injectors than STi pinks.

injectors

Well. Thanks for the comments. Also I am running a FP 20g, not a vf series, but I dont plan on running crazy high boost levels. I was just wondering if the sti pinks were my best bet.
