Impossible to answer without knowing what your looking at buying.
If your looking for an engine Cobb would be better if your looking for a EFI solution then perhaps Vishnu would be better... and so on..

I've tried both and ended up going back to stock engine management until better options are available.

for tuning i would say vishnu. My car has been tuned by them and im very happy with the power it put down and how it drives. I've seen some local people running cobb maps and their stage 2 seems okay but the 2.5 is very week. Two local people dynoed their stage 2.5 and it put down very very low numbers.

I abought an accessport from Cobb & I am happy with the product, but a little dissapointed with the support & info with map availability. For example I would like to run a VF22 in my car, but no such maps exist, & no idea when they will. I realize they area small company, & perhaps down the road they will have more maps, but a timframe would be nice.
As for Vishnu, my buddy had his WRX tuned by Shiv, & is one of the best working WRX's I've ever seen. I really don't think you could go wrong with either company, but I think that custom tuning on the dyno would always make a big difference for whoever you go with.

Then I went with Cobb's Stage 1. Their ECU also pinged badly in hot weather as well and it really seemed like Cobb didn't know about our fuel quality. I tried a couple back/forth efforts with them, and ended up getting a refund for the ECU. Now I'm waiting for a tuning solution I can tune my self. I know... there's the UTEC, but that's not a good option IMO either.
