A pipe is a pipe.Save the money and go with Helix. It matters how you install it,not what company you buy it from.Or better yet save alot of money and gut your stock pipe,if you have the time.

Gut your up pipe if you have time and think its worth the effort. if you are already going to get the Helix dp then go ahead and get the helix up pipe together you can get them for 450 from gruppe-s its a good deal and that price is shipped to your door. I've got the helix up and down and I'm very pleased! I wouldn't spend the extra money on the vishnu pipe. With the accesport you'll be smoking i'm sure! Have fun!

I wouldnt gut the up pipe. The problem is if you need to get it smogged, you won't pass smog without that up pipe. The cat in the up pipe is there to help the car heat up during the smog. I would go with the helix and keep the stock one for the smog days.

Wouldn't it be easier to just swap the stock downpipe in for smog? I would think it's better too, since it has two large cats in it.

You can usually pass the sniffer part of the smog test just fine with a catless UP so long as you reinstall a catted DP. The cat in the UP is only there for start up emmissions because it heats up so wuickly that close to the manifold. However, if you simply drive the car for a few minutes before the test and get to operating temp the DP cats will be sufficiently warm to pass. The visual is another matter, though most smog shops don't know where to look for the UP anyway.

BS!! Have you seen the stock uppipe cat? It's for COLD START emissions only. There is no way in hell you'll fail smog without it.

if you're worried about passing smog either get the STi pipe (looks EXACTLY like OEM but catless) or PDE. The PDE pipe lets you put all the heat shields back on (others don't) so unless someone's REALLY REALLY looking hard, noone will notice it.
