I put in a Stage 0, and now a Stage 1 (almost complete... just needs a reflash). Had a recurring uppipe leak, seems fixed by putting a flex uppipe (3 days... no leak). Just added their signature turbo back exhaust... sounds real mean...

And yes... they are pricy...

I've had their Stage Zero components with a solid uppipe for over a year. No leak from the uppipe. Hacked together my own exhaust and had it tuned by Shiv. Runs like a *****.

I had the Stage 0 way back when it came with the Unichip. I hacked together my own version of Stage 1, but then ended up with the complete Stage 2 with signature exhaust and TMIC. On Shiv's dyno, it put down 249 whp. I've run the Xede, but recently switched to the Ecutek reflash. The products are of high quality, but more expensive than most. Shiv's tuning abilities are top notch and he is extremely knowledgeable.

Great numbers on that Stage Two, wrXratd.

Did you add the Vishnu exhaust before the rest of Stage Two? If so, how did it compare? Why did you switch from Xede to Ecutek? (I have an Xede) Did you notice any difference?

I went like this:

6/02: Stage Zero with standard Unichip map. No dyno tune.

11/02: 2.1/2" Stromung DP, Stromung third cat delete, Borla Cat Back, Xede Dynoed at 202 whp

2/03: Vishnu Twin Dump DP with remaining components from above. Dynoed at 212 whp

3/03: VF30, Injectors, Fuel Pump, Fuel Rails. Dynoed at 243 whp

4/03: Vishnu Signature 3". Dynoed at 248 whp

2/04: Ecutek reflash. Dynoed at 249 whp

Remember, all of these numbers are on Shiv's very conservative Dyno Dynamics dyno. The 249 whp would equate to close to 300 whp on a Dynojet dyno.

I switched from the frankenstein exhaust to the Vishnu signature in order to get a 3" system that would let the VF30 breathe better. HP numbers did not go up significantly, but I felt better having a cat back in the system (I live in Kalifornia). It was quite a bit quieter as well (no more Borla drone in my wagon).

While I liked the Xede's interface and the ability to play with the tune, I had problems with pinging that would come back after a couple of months following retuning by Shiv. It may have been gas formula switches here in Kalifornia or a problem with my Xede. Since I was pretty much done with power mods, I figured the reflash was just fine for me at this point. No more pinging and the car idles better now as well. It may not have anything to do with the Xede, but I feel more comfortable with the reflash now.

All this is great stuff .... but I want to know how your tranny is holding up? still using the original? or made and upgrade to STi 5 speed gears or STi 6 speed?
Thanks in advance =)

My tranny went out 3 weeks ago. 3rd gear self destructed.

I was going to upgrade to RA gears a couple of weeks before that, but no one had them in stock. That is still the case.

6MT won't fit with Vishnu's signature exhaust and I don't want to spend $5-6K on a transmission anyway. I'm putting another 5MT in for the meantime.

So it is obvious that the stock tranny can't handle this type of power but anyone else have something to say about using STi RA gearset?

Very interesting information. Thanks. Unlikely that I would dump that kind of money (well, that much more money, LOL) on my WRX, but good to know. I wonder whether Shiv will address this.

It's been addressed. If you have an STi or a WRX w/ STi tranny, you have to go with the non-signature exhaust that has the bellmouth and the cat farther down the line. The cat and dump tube can't fit with the wider 6MT. Believe me, I talked directly with the fabricator while I was thinking about the 6MT. He said there was no way other than moving the cat farther down on my exhaust. That's not the reason I decided not to go with the 6MT. I just figured why spend $6K on the tranny when I could sell all of my parts and trade in my WRX as stock and get an STi for $6-7K more.
