After doin some reading on this forum and a few others. I found out that quite a few people that have vf39 turbos have small cracks, usually on the wastegate. I was wondering if there is anyway to tell (besides looking at it) if you have a crack on your wastegate or not. The only mods i have on my car right now are a K&N drop in filter and silencer delete. When I step on the gas hard, i can hear the turbo spooling and it kind of makes a fluttering sound as it spools up. Its not a smooth spooling sound like on my mr2 for example. Is this normal?
