Up-pipe Install

Has anyone on the forum ever installed an up-pipe on their WRX? If you have, how difficult was it? Does it require any special tools? And how long did it take you? I have experience working on cars so I am not completely clueless when it comes to installing parts. BTW, I am looking at getting a PDE up-pipe for this install if it makes a difference. Any advice is appreciated.

Those of us in Hawaii do up-pipe installs on a semi-regular basis. If you go to Vishnu and get Shiv's install instructions, you can't go wrong. With a bunch of us together (1 guy workibng, 2 guys looking on/handing him tools, everyone else BS'ing or eating) it takes 4-5 hours to do it. However, a lot of guys who do it themselves, who have some skills, can do it in 2-3 hours. sub-sonic can do it in under an hour, I think.
I'd like to add that I am one of the guys BSing and eating, even when it was my car....

So someone with a little experience with cars could most likely do the install with those instructions? I really doen't want to pay to have it done if me and my friends can install it ourselves. I will definitely get those instructions, thank you.
