For now, do the up pipe because your 02 has a catalytic converter in the stock one. And keep the stock headers. Maybe heat wrap them for cheap.
The grimmspeed high flow crosspipe wont be very efficient in terms of dollars per horsepower and I've heard they have issues with their flex section design. I also heard they were going to fix that with a better mesh (3 layers instead of 2), but it's still not a huge improvement over stock.
But, thats a really big turbo. I bet it would see some considerable gains with aftermarket headers. And when you get those they should definitely be heat coated and wrapped. New headers are going to be a few hundred up to a thousand bucks.
