This is where tuning is going to really start to make a difference with the UTEC.
Read everything about tuning with it and see if you can find someone in your area to help you get started.
I have only done a small bit of tuning with my UTEC, but take small steps and if you don't know what you are doing, GET HELP.
Knock will kill an engine in very short order.
If you knock, stop driving the car in whatever way you are to make it knock and figure it out or you may be walking soon.

Your car may 'feel' faster with the MBC, but it is not as safe as a tuned UTEC. My car felt 'slower' with the addition of a couple of my mods, but in fact was faster because of a broader, flatter powerband and increased overall horsepower.

If you do the FP yourself, be careful not to damage the seal, or you will have all sorts of nasty CEL's. Also, be careful with the sending unit arm. Don't bend it up or you won't have accurate fuel level reading on your guage.
The 'Green brackets of Death' are fun too. Be careful with the TGV housings and plugs(don't forget to plug them back in!!!).

Not too bad...I have LOTS of tools(I'm an aircraft mechanic...), and it took me an hour or so to do 'em the first time. Drivers side is cake...a barbed, nylon hose adapter is easier than cutting the PCV tube off(what I did) the bracket.
The passengers side is a bit more of a PITA.
If you need some pointers, PM me.

Yeah...You have to twist, beg, threaten, cajole, wheedle, caress, implore, and generally try it every which way while not making any sparks and it WILL come out!!!

Back seat is removed by removing the two bolts for the bottom cushion(these are just above where rear seat passengers ankles would be). and then there are 4 bolts holding the seatback above the seatbelt buckle attach points. The 'passthrough' is opened, and the rear seatback is then pushed up and pulled foreward and then removed out the rear door. The 'passthrough-armrest' gotta be open to get the seatback off the center hook.
Trust me, I know.....

N/P.....

Be careful....First time I really let loose after I tuned mine, I ended up in a crossed-up drift across some pavement that I was lucky was unoccupied at that moment.....

Buy some toluene, and play with a bit more octane induced 's..
A couple extra octane numbers is where the power is really at....

To preserve oxygen sensor function, leaded fuel is not recommended. C16b is leaded. Yes, you can burn it but not much or for too long or it will eat you o2 sensors. Also, if you have any cats in your system, leaded fuel will clog them real quick.

3gal. toluene and 7gal. 93 octane fuel will net ~99 octane total
Don't excede this 30% mixture ratio or rubber parts of your fuel system may experience reduced service life.....It will eat them...under 30% is fine....
I use toluene in almost every tank of fuel and it works great.

20psi. on 100 octane might just be possible...depends on your mods, weather conditions, and state of tune.
Be careful....play nice...
