Yup Blitz DC FATT here...love the thing! So small and compact and easy to use...you will love it.

Let me know if you need one! Blitz just came out with a new DC Series II FATT and DTT...and a D1 FATT. Check out www.blitz-na.com for more info.

Thanks,
Brian

Just making sure you know the WRX doesn't need/benefit from a turbo timer... You'll just be wasting gas. But I mean some people like them for warming up the car (a remote starter would be better) or for the "bling" factor... Goodluck.

Hey why you say it is a waste?? The WRX has a turbo and if you don't allow enough time for it to cool down properly then it will have oil build up in the turbine and cause it to not work properly. Also, what does it have to do with warming the car up?? The function of a turbo timer is to cool it down not warm it up like a remote starter would benefit from.

And you can't tell me that it is not cool/bling when you get out of your car with keys in hand and your car is still running! Makes people think what the heck is going on! lol

i do not think its a waste, it is never a bad idea to have a turbo timer on any turbo car.

Man does this topic have to come up every week?!! I can already see this thread going off topic because WrXaWd already has decided on getting a TT, he does not want to know if it's needed or not. Is it needed on the stock turbo? Subaru doesn't think so, I've read the link that supports the idea that a TT is not needed on the stock turbo, but if ppl want to buy a TT for a peace of mind, go for it. I'm sure that before they made the decision to buy a TT they researched into it and know what good it will do, physically and mentally.

See that is why I asked him ok? I didn't start explaining or arguing about the turbo timer issue. I just wanted to double check with him that he knew it wasn't needed... I too when I first got my WRX thought "Oh I need a turbo timer now." because I'm all about preserving my cars health. The fact is the WRX doesn't need one. It's not that Subaru thinks it doesn't need one, physics says it doesn't need one. The whole thing that turbo timers prevent (coking of oil essentially) cannot occur on the stock WRX unless something goes horribly wrong (not gonna happen). So don't accuse me of going off on tangents and bringing up old issues... I was just watching out for a fellow i-clubber to make sure he didn't waste his money. Read this thread man: https://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...ht=turbo+timer Hope that helps man, I'm only tryin to help you out...

I say it is a waste because it is not needed and just wastes gas. Read this thread amigo: https://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...ht=turbo+timer

As for the bling factor, I agree, that's why I said if he was getting it for bling go ahead. Just wanted to make sure he knew it wasn't needed...

Edit: Oh yeah about the warming up the car thing... I've heard a couple people say they turn their car on then go back inside and leave it idling to warm up. I think that's dumb too cuz a remote starter would be way better.

Sorry guys, here's a more direct/better link (so you don't have to sort through the thread). http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/sho...&threadid=2388

"The Subaru WRX engines have their water catch tank high on the engine above the turbocharger. It is that little can where you check the water level. When the engine is shut off the water continues to circulate via a physical property of water called a thermal siphon. Simply put, hot water rises up to the catch tank, being drawn from the relatively cool cylinder head water jacket up through the turbo housing. This nifty little idea works every time you turn off your engine."

You might need it if your going with an aftermarket turbo. No nifty little water jackets.
