Trouble adjusting boost
Trouble adjusting boost
I'm not too sure what's going on, but I wanted to see if anyone had some input on possible causes. I am running a TD05-18g turbo with a UTEC for em, and of course the supporting mods. The problem is I can't turn the boost up past about 1 bar. I increased the boost values on the UTEC like crazy, with minimal, if any, change. Same for the bleeder valve. Kept opening it with no change. Any advice?

Man i don't know if it matters but are you using the stock hoses between the wastegate actuator and the positive side of the turbo? Pretty much the stock T of hoses ?
Or could it be that the wastegate needs to be adjusted?? Good luck w/ the touble shootin man.

1) i couldv'e sworn the stock hoses to the stock T was bad??? Do you still have the factory boost controler connected w/ the hoses in anyway? You had it like this before right w/ the AUX boost controller hooked up in line w/ the turboXS bleed valve right or no?
2) That arm coming from the wastegate actuator when relesed from the swinging arm (the arm is released from a cottor pin)is able to spin either direction so that you can a adjust boost i think. Hmm i could be wrong i'm not totally sure? Your gonna have to search on that one.

Hey Ryan if you wanna try something, run a hose from the positive side of the turbo to the wastegate actuator, that should run the max amount of that the actuator puts out. Usually 4-6 psi, just to see if its a boost problem or a tune problem. What do you think?
I got it working. I had the hoses reversed. I'm such a nOOb.
Got on the street and promptly hit 22psi
Whoops. Hey Sean, I'll try to give you a call in the next couple of days, sorry I didn't get to stop by the other day, I got veto'ed.
