Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

torn..vishnu exhaust questions

ok i finally have decided on which exhaust i want...and uppipe. seems like the best choice is Vishnu.

so i go to order it directly from Vishnu and i found out they have 2 different.

so now.. do i get the regular turbo back (dual tip)

or the top of the line Turbo-Back Exhaust (Signature Series)

any one have and input on either? did a search quick but didnt see anything...also, anyone have sound clips of either of these? also will i be expecting to get any CELS from installing this stuff?

oh yea im also definately buying the Vishnu 321 uppipe kit...

I've heard great things from Vishnu, so I don't think you would be doing wrong by going with them. Yes you will get a CEL with a turboback exhuast, you will have to get a fix.

I own Vishnu single dump dual tip TBE and a Vishnu 321 uppipe, I just haven't installed it in yet. From what I have gathered the signature series (twin dump) makes slightly more power in the low/mid range due to a better exhaust design. Both make the same peak power, is it worth the extra $300 for that power, that depends on you. For your uppipe(EGT), just use the resistor mod for the CEL and for the downpipe(o2), you can use either a electrical or mechanical fix. Your preference ....... that stuff is not cheap by any means ..... Hope that helped

Yes, the 321 has a bung for both the stock EGT sensor and aftermarket ones. So people tend to think the larger one is for the O2 sensor, but I've talked to vendors and Vishnu and they confirmed that it is for aftermarket EGTs ....
