Throttle Body Warmer?
I'm one of those "open minded" suby geeks- I sometimes talk shop with v-8 lovers. One of the things a guy mentioned in passing was the throttle body warmer bypass he'd done on his F-body (don't remember if camaro or firebird-I don't follow that closely
). Evidently cars sold above a certain parallel get this treatment. It's a hot line of radiator fluid to heat the throttle body to minimize adverse effects of super cold air (like 0 deg causing fuel mist to droplet, etc). I though he was nuts, but it looks like our cars have it too! Imagine, after all the work people put into intercoolers, and water sprayers, the car it adding heat to the incoming charge! Look under the hood: theres a line going to the bottom, and leaving the top of the throttle body, or vice versa. Anyone bypassed/ plugged this? I searched, but came back with nothing...

I've done the recirculating mod on other people's cars. Basically you reroute the coolant lines so it bypasses the throttle body. The reason why they put that there is free up the trottle plate so it doesn't get stuck.
