Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Thoughts about this setup?

Avoid front mounts unless you really want the bling. Utecs are also known for causing failures in cylinder 4. Other than that, it's a pretty good start.

UTEC's don't cause cylinder failure...Improper tuning does.

Salina104: Do some more research.

i would say keep an eye on that cat back as it will rust pretty bad. if you are wondering why, its because its made out of just metal. have you put any of the parts on the car yet???

This is as true with a Utec as it is with any other form of engine management. You can blow up a motor simply by running the wrong sparkplugs.

Eh, it's not too simple, and would be improper for me to go into detail about it publicly considering I am employed by a Turbo XS competitor.

So what are you waiting for!!!!! Get those parts on so you can hit up the track and bust out some twelve sec. timeslips. Unless you have other plans for your car. Hopeyou enjoy the extra power .
