Question Stock WRX Exhaust with HKS downpipe

Hello everyone,

I am new in this forum, and I would like to ask if anyone has ever installed the HKS downpipe with the stock exhaust on the WRX?

Second,
If yes, please describe the sound level and the process to joint the exhaust and the downpipe together?

I was told that the HKS downpipe will not work with the stock exhaust because of the rubber donut gasket that the stock exhaust use.

Thank you very much for any suggestion.

some people has done this, but I used my flat gasket when I had that set-up. It had no leaks. Sounded a little louder than stock.

I tried it with the HKS gasket and bolts, but I hear this whistling sound at a certain rpm. It looks sealed, but I hear weird whistling noise and rattle. Any suggestion?
