stock boost levels

I was just curious if my turbo was runnin correctly and all. i cant tell really how much boost i should see in first gear cuz it just blasts through til redline. second is showing like 11 or 12psi while third and the rest show about 13+/-. i heard sumone saying that i should see 14 or more. i think he's wrong but i figured i ask sumpeople who knew. when should i see the turbo start to spool is the different gears? thanx all. and i hope this helps sumone out sumday

yes i know that it limits the boost levels. Thats why i'm askin what it limits them to? does anyone know? What rpm does the boost start to tapper down. thanx all just makin sure my turbo and everything is working to par. I dont know if i would set my boost levels that high is the first few gears, it just must cut down on reliability all the way around.

I didnt know what mine ran either til I got my boost gauge installed. Mine reads in bar. In 1st, when getting on it hard I reach about .25 bar and the same in second. 3rd through 5th gear I hit 1 bar and my car is stock. 1 bar is 14.6 PSI to my knowledge. I dont know if my car is one of those freaky Rexes but I am happy with it so far. I would like to add a boost controller sometime in the near future. Any suggestions? Thanks

k i'm back. verdicts in. 1st gear 12psi between 3500-4000rpm. 2ndgear = 12psi at around 3500-4000 3rd gear peaks 14psi then stays at 13 at around 3500rpm. didnt go much farther than about 5000rpm so i dont know the drop offs. thrid deffinatly seems liked the boost turned on quicker alot closer to 3500rpm than first and second. hows this sound to everyone?i dont have the 3/16mod

INteresting thread. I wondered about this since I got my boost gauge and waiting on my TXS DSBC. I suppose after installing the BC, boost will be consistent in every gear?
