Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

The US STi intake manifold is the same a s a WRX, other than the powdercoating. A JDM one is lacking TGV housings and comes from... Japan. Gruppe-S may have them in stock if you call.

The JDM Ver8 manifold will fit fine on a cable TB wrx. It does delete the TGV housings all together.
You are correct Jimbo.

Version 8 JDM STi uses a nice one piece design.

mr2guru,
what is your opinion on deleting the TGVs? I removed the TVIS system from my MR-2 and got an increase in power across the board. My opinion is that the Toyota system was there for cold start emissions purposes. The Suby TGVs look very similar.

I think it's actually 'TVG', short for Tumble Valve Generator. It's purpose is indeed to aid in reduction of cold-start emissions.

I've always said TGV. Tumble Generator Valve.

But either will work I assume.

Actually, I think you guys are right - Tumble Generator Valve makes more sense...

You can switch the throttle body to a US STi manifold, since it's the same as a WRX manifold.

The manifold runners are the same, but the JDM one has no TGVs.
