Have you checked the coolant since this happendand if so how were the levels? When you added coolant how much did you have to add?

Sounds like a blown a head gasket or cracked the head. Pull the oil dipstick and see if there's coolant in it. If you can get it to Autozone without overheating they can read the code for you. If you get the code post it.

you can also rent the scanner tool from autozone (requires full price deposit, refunded upon return of tool) that way you can take the scanner to your house without risking the car overheating

without a CEL code or inspecting the engine in person, no one is going to be able to help beyond specualtion and assumption. I'd still suggest the autozone scan tool or have it towed to a shop such as gruppe-s

Good idea.

I haven’t heard of many blown head gaskets or cracked heads but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Did you check for coolant in the oil?

If he has coolant in his oil you can bet he cracked a head or blew a head gasket.

If he did blow a headgasket than his engine oil after it is contaminated
with coolant should look almost like chocolate milk.

Sounds like it could be the turbo. That's much better than a head gasket.
