Start up sound?

Ok, I don't think it's knock but I'm not sure what it is so who knows!?

Sometimes when I start up theres kind of a clanky sound by my right wheel well or something. And it's not always there, and it's random. Sometimes it's after I warmed up sometimes it's after. But It's only on the initial cranking. After the car gets running it runs fine.

Anyone have this happen to them?

Broken engine mount??

Get someone to start it up while you poke around for it Grab a broom handle and place the end on engine parts, with your ear anywhere along the wooden pole. You'll find the source sooner or later.

Good luck

Broken engine mount you say? Good thing I just bought some Cusco mounts to replace them with.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try your "broom" technique.

Ok, so I finally found it. There was a bracket connected to the rear spark that I didn't tighten down and it fell out. It was rattling on startup.

What a noob thing to do!
