i got your IM. i never use my away message feature.
what does it idle at? does it happen when you are just sitting in your driveway when you first start it? what about at a stop light? will it run at all if not on the gas? does it happen sparatically(sp.?) or a pattern?

theres no pattern to when it happens. i'll be goin down the road and then put it in neautral, and let of the clutch just roll downthe road. sumtime after (sumtimes) it will stall.

Maybe OT from your situation but I have a GReddy Airinx intake (my only mod for now) and when I throw the car into neutral at about 80+ mph my tach will go down to 0 and shut the car off. I've had this problem since the night I installed the intake and am hoping that when I get an exhaust put on it the problem will go away (maybe less back pressure). From what it seems the engine may be getting to much air, but I am not for sure on that. If I throw it into neutral and rolling at about 60mph it will go below what it normally idles at and slowly make its way back to what it normally sits at. Basically if I throw into neutral, the faster I go the lower the needle will dip towards 0 RPM... 80+ will shut the car off. In cases like this I will throw into 5th and slowly let the clutch out to turn the car back on.... Way scary when turning at the same time

Do you have a BOV, or CAI? Both those cause rough idle which can cause your engine to stall if it drops far enough.

I had a recirculating hks ssqv so i didn't think it was a problem but i but the stock bpv on and it fixed it. I dont remember what my car used to idle at. Its idling at 500 now. Im gonna pull the negative off the battery and step on the brake for a couple min. and reset the comp.

Happens to me often. But I think that's because of my BOV. My Car dies on me when I throw in the clutch and put it in nuetral.
I notice my car dies when I leave my foot in the clutch after I put it in nuetral.
Weird, But I know its the BOV.
Need to take them off anyway... Eats too much gas.!

POS Dealership

Ok so i took my car into Big valley Dodge/subaru in the san fernando valley and the service rep that i spoke with noticed that it had an unstable idle. So my car has been there for 2 whole days. I got a call just now saying that they couldn't find anything "nothing" wrong with it. I asked him so what now i drive around with a piece of **** until something bigger breaks that they can find and fix? Like seriously pisses me off. The other dealership i used to go with would at least go for a drive with me and let me show them that there was a problem. But this dealership said that they couldn't find nor fix the problem and to pick up my car tomorrow. GGGggrrrrr.
