The sound of a ruptured IC hose

i just noticed a low whine coming from around the IC/BOV area. Im pretty sure its not my exhaust gaskets leaking, unless they can go bad with time...
has anyone ruptured a IC hose? and if so, does it make a hissing whiny sound at idle but not when u gas it?

i did a search and came up empty...

ill try the same over at nasioc

Unless our car farts, stumbles badly, coughs and refuses to go under boost, it's probably not a ruptured intercooler hose. Please try describing the sound a little better.

the sound...

its like a high pitched whine... when i gas it , the sound goes away, when it comes back down to idle.. the sound comes back...

i have a turbo back (pde down pipe to greddy evo)
it doesnt sound like its coming from the turbo side though.. it sounds more like its coming from the bov or IC area...

if its a gasket problem...

wouldnt the whine get loader when i give it gas? i would think more gas = more pressure which should produce a louder whine???
im clueless at the moment
