hey guys wanted to get a short ram intake but there so many out there...didnt kno where to begin. wanted to hear wat the general consenus was on which one was the best bang for ur buck...and how much is it...and another prob i hav is i cant tell which ones r smog legal or not, id like one that will b smog legal so that i can pass my smog test...will it also pass visual?
im lookin for cheap and best bang for ur buck short ram intake...needs to pass smog..which means visual and all that stuff...

as long as it uses the stock maf housing its good to go for smog
if it doesnt it has to have a carb number

you can get a cai that has a carb number and cut it to be a short ram

 

don't waste your time getting a short ram intake, it won't make any power, and some say it decreases hp, if you just want more of the turbo sound and bov, get a K&N drop in and remove the snorkus (sound resonator box in front right fender)

 

Will removing the snorkus or resonator box affect performance? Do you replace it with anything?
