Questions about Borla XR-1
Well I recently bought an '03 WRX and have decided that the boxer needs to be unleashed. I've been doing a lot of research on cat back exhausts the past couple of weeks and I was leaning toward Borla's XR-1. From what I've read and listened to, it isn't too loud or too quiet, which is what I am looking for. Okay, here's my main concern: while pricing the XR-1 I see that most websites selling it say that it fits the '02-'07 WRX and STi, but Borla's website says it fits the STi, and nothing about the WRX. Doing some back-tracking I see that brands like Cobb make the same cat back for both, so obviously there isn't anything different when it comes to the fit, but I just want to be sure before I go and buy this thing. Also, do I need to buy any kind of adapter when connecting a 3 inch exhaust up to the stock down pipe? If anyone has anything they would like to add about the XR-1 in general, that would be awesome. Any help is appreciated!
