im thinking about buying the helix catted downpipe.. only because of the emmisions here in california... and i dont want to keep changing the downpipe back anf forth when emmisions times rolls around... anyways what im wondering is..
1st... will this downpipe match right up to the invidia catback...
2nd... will the catted downpipe pull a CEL.. or will it stay clear of one because its catted???

 

the downpipe will match up w/ almost all usdm catbacks. You shouldn't get a cel w/ a catted downpipe.

btw...you won't pass the visual inspection part of the smog check w/ an aftermarket downpipe catted or not.

 

man i did not know that.. i apreciate that alot... anyways i was going to end up wrapping the downpipe and basically everything else (headers,upipe.and then all the way back to the axel back)... i dont know if maybe that will help the visual inspections but i know if a cop pulls me over i can tell him that i do have a cat and show them it.. and just tell them that its covered in exhaust wrap..

But anyways so basically either way im going to have to take off the downpipe no mater what if i get an aftermarket one in order to pass emisions...
