EGT and A/F meters are prolly the most needed gauge in a turbo car. Although they both do about the same thing, you need to be careful with your EGT even if you have a good Air Fuel ratio. I remember when RoadRace was just using a AF meter and were still melting pistons due to the fact that even though they AF showed them running a good mix, the EGTs would spike after a long race and still do damage.

With a good EGT, you can still tune your fuel mix and keep an eye on your temp at the same time, that’s why I recommend a EGT before a A/F meter. If you have room, run both, if not, the EGT is most important.
