Oil Catch Can.....
they are cans usually metal that have an inlet and outlet. they usually have a gizmo where you can see how much oil is in there
the valvecovers vent air in and out and are hooked up to the intake on the clean air side. sometimes oil gets in there " blow by " is caused and thats what you are trapping. its good to catch it because it doesnt make your car run great, and you wont pass smog as easy here in CA
it goes inbetween the valvecover and intake.

Don't hook it up to the crank vents after the PCV valve because I tried, and there is barely any oil vapor there. My valvecover vents seem to have more oil vapor. After an oil change or two, you'll probably see the hoses get dirty (if you have clear hoses)
