to get your car up to 300whp.. -r.. you gotta get a turbo, intercooler, injectors and a fuel pump. Of course you are going to need a good tune, so go to your local subaru shop to get an protune. Since you are in texas, I have no idea whats out there, you may need to do a cobb AP tune. As far as turbos go, you can squeeze 300 out of a 16g turbo but its going to be pushing it unless you go e85 or a high octane fuel. If you want to stay on 91, it would be easier to go with an 18g turbo and all the supporting mods already mentioned.

A smooth drivable 280 is way better than a rough 300 so don't just tune for numbers. Tune for a smooth curve of usable power. Just a word of advice.

oh yeah.. another thing.. From what I've heard, your tranny may blow when you have upwards of 300whp. Put some tranny mounts and it may prolong that from happening, but just be careful

For autocross you are gonna want a fast spooling turbo and supporting mods. A twin scroll vf would be perfect. I know you want 300 but if autocross is the focus I would worry about brakes, suspension, sway bars, and tires before anything else. You may want to look into a 6 speed STi transmission swap.

Your 5 speed is good up to around 300whp but the gearing is not optimal.

full turbo back will hop you up roughly 50+hp. going with an evoIII 16g, a fast spooling turbo, will get you right under 300 and from the research I've done since I was considering getting it, its a great turbo. You can of course for with many 16g turbos and most spool pretty quick. A twin scroll vf would be nice, possible a vf34 if you can get your hands on one, I read those spool pretty nicely.

Alone the parts arent going to do much. think of it as these bolt ons will enable you to get the tune you want. You won't want to run them without a retune. Get all your parts and install them at the same time. This way you won't have to keep gettin retuned. Either limp it to the tuner, tow it, or get a base map to run for the trip. Stay out of boost.

The downpipe has 2 cats and the up pipe has 1 cat Your mid pipe has no cats. What fuel do you plan on using?
