Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

New turbo installed w/o supporting fuel....max 8psi?

Hi,
Yesterday I had an SR40 added to my TXS Stage 2+ uppipe (map) setup...with no injectors or pump added (they are on their way).
The car is only running 8psi with the UTEC in open loop mode...no matter how I adjust the ABC. I was told this may happen...but what can I do to add a bit more (safe) power until the other items arrive. Lets say run 12 or so PSI to be safe...?
BTW for 8psi the car is actually pretty darn fast...not as fast as the stocker/stg 2 at 16psi but I cant wait to get this SR40 running at 18PSI...
Anyways, any input in the interim is appreciated.
Thanks a lot,

Brian Broz
