Need advice on Uppipe and Downpipe

A friend of a friend is wanting to get rid of an uppipe and downpipe that came out of a WRX he trashed. He has trashed 2 so far and now has a new STI. The first WRX went out with 2nd gear all stripped and the other becuase of water and a cold air intake. Should I get the uppipe and downpipe from him? (he also has a cold air intake). I already have a midpipe back Magnaflow exhaust setup with a UTEC set to stage 2. He is selling the pipes for $200 and the CAI for $80. His dad has a lift so he will help me install the goods, but he intially said $400 for installing since he said installing the uppipe is a royal pain in the backside. As always I appreciate your response and advice. Thanks.

I'm not sure of the manufacturers. Also I'm in Ohio, should I be deeply worried about running CATLESS?

$400 sounds a little steep for the install. most reputable shops can install an up-pipe and down pipe in about 2 hours it may take him longer if he's never done it on a rex before.
