Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

maybe not your normal bov question

Check with Flash N Dash Performance, he is a vendor on this forum and sold many GFB BOV's to i-clubbers at a good price.

MAN...I got a GFB 50/50 and I can only hear it once in a while after 5k of rpm and then a shift...that's it.

Though when I have my hood up I can hear it after 3.5 to 4k of engine revving...oh well.

HEY maybe if I take off the sound proofing on the hood.

No, no, no ! Don't do that, the padding is not only for sound proofing but heat proofing, if you have a hot engine in mid-day I have seen paint start bubbling because that thin layer of heat protectant was gone.

I didn't like my GFB 50/50 until I learned to drive it. (figuratively speaking) Not saying you don't know how to drive it, but after time goes by you will alter your driving style to where you know how to make it go off whenever you decide. Mashing on the gas and letting go isn't nesisarily gonna get you results. Just wait and repost. Also be careful when revving the engine while in neutral, the engine has no load on it and sometimes people go too far and start redlining it standing still and it doesn't end well. Good Luck

I think you can adjust how tight the spring is. It may be too tight. Mine went off at 3K RPM all the time.

It may loosen or get less tense over time. . .

what if i was completely catless and got like a hks or a rfl? would that still mess things up or would the only problem be shooting flames?

If you are running running rich enough, and have a spark plug in your exhaust then you might be able to shoot flames. . . . . Don't worry about it.
