DOes anybody know the symptoms of a bad maf sensor. I searched but found nothing. I dont know if is the heat or what. I have a injen cai cut into a short ram, boost controller, ic hoses. Any help on my lost power would be great.

 

You need to desribew your symptoms alittle better. Is it making overall less power? bucking? irraditc idle? misfire? fuel economy issues?

Most recent mod was the ic hoses but it has been running slower since i changed the oil to 0-40(I had some left over). It is running slower thats really it. No misfires or running crappy. Just slower. I use 93 octane gas also.

 

did you reset the MAF after you installed the intake and boost controller? make sure you unplug the battery for atleast 15 min after you have installed the stuff. then let it idle for about the same amount of time. it might take car of the problem.

also you could just be running really lean. intakes make the car run leaner than it normally would run and i am better the boost controller does too.

also you could have your boost to high. try turning the boost down to around 16. i have heard 17 is tops with out any fuel or computer mods.

 

Yeah it has been getting warmer but not Unbearable. I have also reset the ecu a million times already. My boost is at 16 under load in 3rd gear so its not too high. I occasionally get the fuel cut but only when its colder out.

 

I turned it down to 15 psi this morning so i hope i found i good level to keep it at.

 

I recently got a flashing cel but it still runs the same. I have gotten this one other time but it was when i did my ic hoses and cleaned the TB. I checked for leaks and found none. Now could a maf sensor cause this. I know it did on my 1.8t so why not on these cars.

 

I dont know i havent had this code checked, then i reset the ecu again. Maybe if it comes back. Many people have been describing symptoms and it seems like its a possibilty. I have 45,000 miles with an intake so i wont rule it out.
