Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Low end Torque needed from VF34

Does a VF34 that has been specifically tuned for the 2.0litre have more or less low end power than the stock turbo???? I hate lag

Yes its definately lower than stock. If you look at a stage 2 TD04 dyno and then look at a VF34 dyno you will see the amount of tq and hp down low is significantly lower. But then once it gets into the meat of things around 4500rpms it puts the td04 to shame. It's a trade off. Personally I went back to the td04 from a vf34 because it was simply just funner to drive in day-to-day traffic. Power is instant. You'll need to adapt your driving with the vf if you want the same type of response. Keep the rpms floating around 4000, and more frequent downshifts, and the car is a lot of fun.
