Low Boost?

I just installed my Helix uppipe and my Autometer boost and oil pressure gauges. Everything works just fine. However, I'm only reading about 12.5 psi boost at the most. Sometimes it's more like 10. Is the tube to my gauge just leaking slightly, or is there something else that I should be worried about.
Thanks for the help.

How does the vacuume section of the gauge look. Mine is 15 at idle and 20 on decell for the most part. If your way off that maybe the gauge is the problem. I think that it is normalish for the boost to drop a bit. I put on my helix dp and cat back and my boost was fine. I put the uppipe on a week later and I have the weird noise and 1~2psi less boost. I've heard others say that you are working the turbo less to make the same power or some jazz like that... on the other forum you posted your last post to me, I deffinatlly know what my turbo sounded like and this is a loud whistle that you hear building up with rpm more than boost pressure. No big deal in either case. Just wondering how yours sounded.

Well, I hear a whistle sound when building boost now too, but I just assumed that it was the turbo spooling. I really don't know what else it could be. As far as my boost goes, the gauge is probably just a little off. I can definitely feel more power with the Helix uppipe so I'm really not concerned about it.

My hose T's into the line right after the blow-off valve. I am under the impression that this is the standard place to mount a boost gauge hose.

first off that whistle is the turbo, a beautiful sound it is,especially when your around a bunch of other cars, not turboed....hehe, and yeah with the up-pipe ur turbine is not working so hard because it has less restrictions now. hope that solved ur questions.

I do not have a BOV other than the stock one of course. Speaking of which, when can you hear the stock BOV? After you install an aftermarket uppipe or the downpipe?
