Unhappy Lost Torque With Uppipe w/ AP STG 1

I have a 04WRX, and recently installed a Perrin Uppipe, during the test drive i noticed i lost a GREAT deal of low end torque under 3,000RPM , i'm guess its because the AP Stage 1 map was created using the stock catted uppipe? i know i lost a good clunk of torque this time b/c i owned a 02wrx previewiosly and had installed a perrin uppipe and i did gain a good load of low in torque that time...

i think i need to get a protuned map for my AP b/c i mainly do city driving

try reverting back to the stock map and see if that helps

Off subject but how did you like your perrin up pipe on your 02? Im thinking about going with the Perrin for the small diameter which supposedly means quicker spool.

When i had the perrin uppipe for my 02, i was actually pretty susprised by the overall performance gain in spool time and hp/torque...highway passes improved dramatically too

I did do a hard ECU reset by disconnecting the negitive battery cable, applied brake for couple seconds...

im going to go back and check for leak, pretty sure that could be it, b/c the last time i did a uppipe install, the passenger side header flange wasnt torqued at all and had a bad leak (Block to header)

that will not revert it back to the stock map. You have to connect the AP and that test connector thingy and select "revert to stock" or whatver from the AP menu. Doing a hard reset by unhooking the battery will revert you back to the basemap the AP put on (if you have put on a realtime map, if you have not loaded a RT map, a hard reset wont do anything).

The AP completely reflashes the ECU when you put on a base map so there is NO stock map on the ecu, which is why a hard reset wont do anything

Right now, the additional parts i have are, Perrin Crank Pulley, Samco I/C Pipe, and a Perrin Form Filter, and the Perrin Uppipe (wrapped)... im running Ap STG 1, by me converting back to stock then reloading the STG 1 base Map, what will this do?.... i just running the STG 1 Base Map, No RT maps loaded...

well if you revert the ecu back to stock and you get your extra TQ back, you'll know that the AP map is not agreeing with some of your mods. If you dont get your TQ back, I'd suggest taking off each mod one by one, testing after each one.

I did the revert to stock method and flashed the STG 1 again, now im going to give it some time for the ecu to re-learn and try to adopt to the other mods.

I actually meant revert eh ECU to stock and keep it like that, to see if you get your TQ back without the AP. What you essentially want to do is completely remove each mod to figure out what isnt working right.
