Talking Just got my first scooby!

I just bought a 05 WRX CMG, so far I love it but what I want to ask you guys is are those ground wires really worth the cost? And if so which brand should I be looking into? Furthermore when is the ideal time to do the first oil change?

Thanks in advance

Congrats on the new Subie. I did my first oil change at 1500 and I'm glad I did (the oil was very dirty).

If you want to do the grounding mod check this out http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=422.

Thumbs up

Have fun and be safe. Dont try to take any hardcore turns until u upgrade the rear sway bar, the car will pig straight into it.. i had to learn the hardway! but overall i couldnt be happier with the vehicle, and i think its well packaged for the price.

I dont buy the hype of grouding wires... if a problem exists first, they may bandaid it but thats about it. My car got oil changes at 250miles, 500miles, 1k, then 3k... and 3k from then on. Subuaru doesnt use breakin additives, so you can do it whenever you want.

Stick with dino (fossil) oil for the first 5k, then make the switch to Synthetic.
