invidia downpipe Q HELP

so im getting the g200 catback exhaust here soon and then im gonna purchase the downpipe, but im confused and want it means by divorced wastegate for the downpipe? the other question is do i need to get the downpipe with a cat in it to pass smog or can i just get the regular dp without the cat in it?? btw i live in reno nevada washoe county..not sure what the smog deal is around here. any help would be great!! thxs

Go to the Nevada DMV website to find out the smog requirements for your location.

If you get a catless downpipe, swap back in the stock downpipe for the smog test. If you get a catted downpipe and want to keep it in place, take the car to a "visual friendly" smog shop.

This. If you car has been well maintained and recently tuned up, it should pass with one cat.

True, the car would pass the tailpipe sniff portion. But it would technically fail visual inspection because of the aftermarket cat. Hence my comment about finding a "nice" smog shop. YMMV.

the smog testing here in reno is easy to pass there is no sniffer test unless you have an old car but you dont..here they just hook up the odb sensor and check for codes to throw if you throw code you fail or if you live in lyon county or story there is no smog yeee for me
