i want to get an intercooler but i dunno which one to get. should i get a top mount how many hp can a top mount hold

 

If you have the stock turbo you should get the STi tmic. On an upgraded turbo I would get a front mount like the perrin or aps. The tmic will only give you a few horses and will mostly be topend, but the fmic will support almost anything you want.

 

hello, what if any mods do you currently have? +1 with the STI TMIC, if you have the stock turbo. just the intercooler alone will not create a big jump in hp. save your ca$h on the intercooler for now and get up-pipe and TBE. i have the STI TMIC and love it

 

if i do a front mount i can't have the fog lights. i do plan on upgrading the turbo

 

i think the only for 02-03 year cant have the fog lights

 

some fmic's allow u to keep your fogs

 

what turbo are you planning to upgrade to? A TMIC would be adequate for any IHI turbo (~400hp)

What are you looking for in your car and what are you interests (i.e. a quick street car, drag, auto-x, etc...)? And if you get a front mount you can keep you fogs depending on which one you get.

You apparently interested in straight line speed so go ahead a get a FMIC. I have a personal preference for APS DR750 series but there are many other good ones. Do you have a WRX or an STi?

 

i got an 02 wrx i like the turbo xs or injen. what about the obx or ss autochrome on ebay

 

Don't waste your money on any ebay brand stuff. If it was worth anything you'd see reputable dealers selling it too.

 

For street racing if I only want to boost between 16.5 and maybe 18psi on an 06 WRX ,which one is better top mount or front mount?
